For those of you following, here is a current update on my 90 day no spend challenge and my plan for 2017.
Andrew got onto me last week about watching too much TV. Do I really watch that much? Is it a problem?
I got to thinking about these questions and came to the conclusion that I probably have a slight addiction to the Real Housewives… and a few other shows. But I realized it is my escape. It’s probably not a “healthy” escape, but I enjoy it. One of my words for 2017 is Harmony and I’m trying my BEST to not lean too far one way or another on certain aspects of my life. I guess watching television has made the list.
A Current Update
I enjoy getting all cozy in bed each evening and unwinding with a little TV binge. Whether that is deciding if Erika Jayne did or did not flash her vagina on purpose to Dorit’s husband or if the Dolphin girl will make it much farther on the Bachelor… I ENJOY IT. However, a portion of that time could be dedicated to education, conversation with my husband, or a little more rest.
I intend on doing my best to harmonize my love of television. Not waste AS MUCH time on mindless trash TV, and add a little more productivity during that time. This week I have already started implementing meditation in the morning and have cut watching the Today show. But, I will continue to watch TV. Within reason. Sorry, Andrew, some of aren’t as disciplined as you but we sure strive to be!
Now for a current update on the 90 day no spend challenge, which has brought me LIFE! As of now, I have purchased an exfoliator (a must in this weather) and some clothes for Liv since she has gone through a growth spurt, including snow clothes! In case you guys missed it, she had a 0-6 month sized jacket on playing in the snow last week… AMAZING.
This challenge has been so refreshing and I have loved every minute of it. Only buying needs and not wants really puts things into perspective. The amount of excess spending I had started was just stupid. I literally am detoxing from shopping and now realize I will have to slowly implement a little at a time when I am done with this challenge. Who knows, maybe I will go longer! We will see…. 😉
I hope everyone’s resolutions are going well and the newness hasn’t worn off quite yet. How is it going?
HANG IN THERE.
