A few months ago I went to a game-changing conference. Ryan Stewman hosted a lot of amazing speakers and entrepreneurs at Million Dollar Mastermind. I actually went to support my husband Andrew but was fortunate that the entire conference made an impact on me personally.
Last fall I was in a bad place and at the start of this year, I committed to making myself a priority. That included everything from fitness, and sleep to quality time with my family and dedicated time with my team.

So, being on the path of putting me first I felt it was time to do something “extreme” to start creating better habits in my life. Habits that I say I want but never really take action to make.
They say it takes 21 days to create a habit but I committed to 30 days. A 30-day challenge to change my life. I wanted to start simple to do just teach myself to make the basics a priority.
Exercise – Diet – Hydration – Mental Clarity
I feel like these are the core pieces to living your best life. Your body and mind need to be at their very best if you want to continue to grow and reach those goals. I wasn’t meeting the goals I had set for myself so something had to give!! Here’s what I did. It’s really simple actually.

30 Day Challenge
- Work out every day for 30 days straight
- No alcohol
- No bread
- No white or added sugar
- Drink 1/2 my body weight in water in ounces every day
WORKOUTS I didn’t do crazy workouts every day but I did move every. single. day. I physically changed into my workout clothes and would go for a long walk, to the gym or I used the Peloton App to get that workout in at home. I stopped tasks that were major priorities to get my work out in. I’ve never felt so strong in my life!
NO ALCOHOL I had to go to events and drink water only, and I had just as much fun! I also brought my lunch to restaurants to make sure I stayed on track to a healthy way of eating as I stopped alcohol. I felt and feel amazing.
DIET I didn’t want to do a crazy diet for a few reasons. One, I need to add more weight and two I wanted it to be a lifestyle change and not temporary. I am already gluten-free but the amount of bad sugar and carbs I was eating was bringing my energy levels down. I now watch my dairy and grain and I have seen a huge improvement in my overall energy levels.
HYDRATION It is crazy how dehydrated we all are! I halved my body weight and drank that in ounces each day. EXAMPLE: So, if you weigh 125 lbs drink 75 ounces of water each day. Hydrating alone is going to allow you to feel more energy. Yes, you will be going to the bathroom A LOT but this is a good thing. You are flushing out all the toxins that we come into contact with on a daily basis. DRINK UP!

I completed the 30-day challenge a few weeks ago and am honestly sad it’s over. It kept me focused and on track. Did it bring the change I wanted? 1000%! The amount of mental clarity it caused is still mind-blowing. No alcohol and working out every day gave me the ability to stay focused and make smarter decisions with my business and time.
It may not be the right “time” in your life. You may love wine too much, or bread too much, or want to enjoy the next big event with friends but committing to something for 30 days will bring you more than you could ever imagine. How much do you love yourself? How much do you want to feel better each day you wake up? You may not hurt that badly. But when you do, you will do anything to be able to tackle each day with strength and gratitude. The 30-day challenge will get you there.
Surprisingly enough, as I committed to the challenge, nothing fell through the cracks even though I was spending more time on myself… Crazy, right? Not really.
So, what will be on your list for your 30-day challenge? You can do this! Save the 30-day image above and start posting your progress. You don’t need to include everything on my list. Maybe yours will just have more water and exercise, or maybe you’ll make sure to be outside for 20 minutes every day. Whatever you need, alter it to fit your life. I’ll be your biggest cheerleader along the way.
Just do you,
Dru
